How to Trace the Cause of Asthma

The cause of asthma has damaging effects that provides you with breathing restrictions or difficulty in breathing. Not just difficulty in breathing but it causes mental and emotional distress – not only to the patient, but to the family as well. Aside from being a constant source of pain, and the faltering feeling of helplessness due to its incurability, asthma can ultimately cause death if not properly managed. Inhalers only impose a short-term relief from attacks. Ultimately, it is a long-term asthma management plan that is what’s going to save a patient’s life in the long run.

The Unknown Causes of Asthma

There are no known studies that have successfully unraveled the truth behind the cause of asthma. On the other hand, there are innuendos as to where asthma might come from. Genetic factor has come into the equation. It has been stated that if a person who has asthma has a child, that person may well-on pass the disease to the offspring. History of asthma shows that there is a direct link between a person with asthma and the parents to whom the asthma was apparently acquired from.

Highly developed countries, also known as First World Countries, have now been a target of increased rate of reported asthma attacks. Being that said, environmental elements in these developed nations have been assumed to be highly susceptible to asthma due to the constant building of buildings and products, which creates additional pollutants that is spewed in the environment via its factory of origin. Highly dense traffic also creates added offense to asthmatics due to the constant smoke belching made by endless numbers of trucks, cars and buses commuting each day. Once inhaled, these pollutants will, most definitely, trigger cause of asthma attack.

Early Symptoms of Allergies

Naturally occurring, allergens, such as those commonly equated with cats and dogs, may assist in deteriorating the chances of a child in acquiring asthma at a later age – if exposed to the said allergens during childhood. A commonality between asthma and hay fever has also been exposed. During seasonal changes, especially during spring and summer, pollen has been made culprit of increased attacks during these seasons due to hay fever. Cause of asthma, with no doubt, comes in natural form, and true by nature which unfortunately triggers asthma attacks.

Proper education through research, partnership with physician, and constant updates on what triggers an attack gives a stable insight into the cause of asthma. Avoiding interaction with allergens is the best way to go about dismissing preventable attack, however, this idea would be easier if a list of trigger factors be made to allow awareness amongst asthmatics. Proper management of this disease is a must to eliminate damaging and excruciating pains during attacks. There is nothing worse than feeling vulnerable at times when breathing is restricted due to the restriction of air passage in the lungs. Moving to areas where there is less pollution and higher grade of environment is an added plus, nonetheless, not all have the luxury to do so. Thus proper precautions need to take place.

Treatments of Asthma for a Better Life

Aside from tracing the cause of asthma, it would be equally important to research on the conditions which births asthma attack. Being obese is a no-brainer. The excess weight would only add stress on the heart and lungs, and one’s breathing pattern. Proper diet and exercise must be observed by an asthmatic. In cases where there is an obscene amount of weight to lose, it must be kept in mind that asthmatics cannot and should not engage in aggravating exercises like running, jogging or climbing stiff hills. These acts would only hurt instead of help because it would work the heart and lungs on the double and the extra stress can only make on susceptible to asthma attack. Cigarettes, on the other hand, pounds hard on the lungs and the breathing system of the body, thus stimulating an invitation to an avoidable attack, a pointless act, it ruins the wellness of the body.

Proper diagnosis of a patient with asthma can only be done with a physician. Personal efforts are well accounted for, but without professional help from a medical expert, it would be like walking in the dark. A plan must be set out based on research, history of attacks, factors that triggered the attack and proper medication fitting to the severity of the patients’ condition, are just some of the things that must be drafted with a physician in successfully creating a long-term plan for survival alongside a dreaded disease called asthma.
